I know its not proper radio but as a few of you know I have recently started to play a bit on FT8 and have been amazed at what can be achieved with a simple set up. Running just 25 watts into a Vertical mounted at ground level. I today 07/02/21 was heard in Zambia 9J2BS 7692km , reported on PSK reporter No other stations were reported as active so was really surprised. The higher HF bands can be full of surprises at this time of year so well worth a look on FT8 and CW.
