CQWW CW Test
.
It's the weekend of the 25th and 26th November, so if you want some practice, or some new countries in the log, or even trying for a big score, this is the one to be in! Simple enough to enter, great fun, and lots of DX about. Rules here:

.
However the one we would really like to see you enter is the Club Calls contest on Saturday evening November 11th. Unfortunately it is on 160m - top band - and some of you will struggle to get an antenna for that band. Several locals will be on though so give it a go just try and load a random piece of wire, as long as you can and see how many you can work. Rules here:

.
N1MM will cater for it, and if you are a member of the NARC Contest Reflector, you will already have seen the emails flying around about it. Hope to work lots of locals in that one!
.
Comments from Nick G4FAL the Contest Committee Chairman are as follows:
.
To get N1MM+ to work I did the following:
.
1. Selected a new contest with the format RSGBCLUB
.
2. Selected mode SSB+CW
.
3. Put Sent Exchange “# HQ CLUB” when you are a club HQ station, or “# CM CLUB” if you are a club member or “# NC” if not claiming any club allegiance. Where I have put CLUB you must substitute your club’s AFS code which you can fine on http://www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/afs.pl.
.
4. Modify the CW exchanges to only have {EXCH) – as RST is not obligatory – typically this is for F1, F2 and F6 – just right mouse click on a function button and you will be in the editor where the function key exchanges can be changed.
.
5. Go to Config/Configure ports ..../Function Keys – then select Send Cut Numbers and at the bottom of the page cut number style T1234567890 (leading T)
.
When you receive HQ on CW you have to type a “C” into N1MM; receiving CM you have to type an “M” and receiving NC you have to type and “N”. This is all in the little S box which is after the received serial number. N1MM will make a Cabrillo file for you which will have CLUB, MEMBER and NONE in place of the Cs, Ms and Ns that you have typed into the S Box.
.
Don’t worry about RS(T). N1MM will log 59 or 599 and put it into the Cabrillo File for each QSO whether or not you actually receive a signal report.
.
Yes RST reports are completely ignored in all RSGB HF Contests.

. RSGB Club Calls is Saturday 11th November 2017
20:00 - 23:00 UTC. Full rules at: http://www.rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2017/rclubcalls.shtml
