We are sorry to announce the passing of Cyril Baker G3HQS who died on 25th October with his family at his side.

13th November update: We have just heard that his wife Daphne has also just passed away in hospital.

John G0MXN recalls that Cyril was a very kind and helpful Radio Amateur, for many years Deputy Controller of Broadland Raynet Group.  His kindly help and advice was given to many new operators over the years, and he regularly ran the weekly net for Raynet with considerable skill and patience.  He attended many outdoor Raynet events over the years his favourite events being the Round Norfolk Cycle Ride, where he and myself operated at Acle, and the Holkham Cancer Charity Cycle Ride.
When he operated from the Broadland Raynet bunker during Civil Emergency events he was always very mindful of the welfare of operators out in flood areas and snow emergencies.
He was a very caring family man, and will be missed by his family and friends.
Rest in Peace Cyril.

Cyrils funeral is at 11.45 on Wednesday 22nd November at St Faiths Crematorium.
